Pumpkin Carving
Step 1 - Try not to cut yourself!
I don't know what Silas was expecting, but it wasn't this.
Ok. Gross is fun.
I think mum is having as much fun as Silas.
Initial carving is done.
Now Silas wanted to use papa's drill to make "a few extra" holes.
And a few more extra holes.
Perfect.

Toy Story
I'm finally back to blogging. Only 5 months behind!!!!
Here is Silas dressed up for Calvary Chapel Pearl Harbor's Hallelujah Celebration (in place of Halloween).
He is Woody from Toy Story although he has never seen the movie. He was quite fond of the outfit, except for the hat. Hmmm, no wonder.
Fun with Oma in Oahu.
Silas couldn't understand the idea of collecting candy in a pumpkin.
Thanks Oma for explaining it to him.

The Many Faces of Silas Jair
What might Silas be when he grows up?
Fireman?
Astronaut?
Chef?
Doctor?
Construction worker?
Or maybe he'll just sing for the village people!

Jacaranda Tree
What a great tree...
Silas was trying to scoop up all the flowers.
It is quite a job!
Here is an action video.

Guitar Balance
Sometimes Silas just does something silly.
In this case, Silas was playing with my cheap guitar (he is not allowed to touch my Taylor) and accidentally made it stand on end.
We are such proud parents!

Colin Buchanan Concert.
Silas loves Colin.
Before the show, Silas was playing with the other kids.
Or no... he was actually wanting to read his book.
Once inside, he was excited.
Here's Colin
Silas sings along
What a fun day.

Allergies
Silas has a life threatening allergy to peanuts and a less severe allergy to walnuts.
He was exposed to a pesto sauce that normally contains pine nuts, but this time was made with walnuts. It was a bit of a scare.
His lips were swollen and cheeks turned very red with bumps and welts.
He told us the pizza tasted "spicy," so he knew something was different.
We spent several hours at the hospital to get him checked out.
This time he was ok. Praise God.
Thumbs up.

Silas Playing Music
Every few months, we have a music night at the church.
Silas loves to come along and play various instruments.
Here are a few snippets of him playing his piano.

Train Ride to the Shops
What started out as Silas' first train ride since he was in a pram ended up in a bit of an EMERGENCY.
Thumbs up!
Now face the camera Silas.
The EMERGENCY was due to the little orange button
behind them. Silas just had to push it and a very rude
Just strolling through the shops with our hands in our pockets.
