Birth Video

WARNING!!!
This video is pretty graphic.  If you don't like blood, don't watch.  Don't worry, Tina is not exposed.  The view is from Tina's head looking down to her tummy.

It is amazing how durable babies are!

Firsts

A new life brings lots of "first" events.  Today, we noted:

  • First hiccups
  • First bath
  • First time wearing a new 'outfit' (I told Tina, men don't wear 'outfits.')
We were able to get a parental suite today.  This allows me to stay with Tina and Silas all night.  With crying and feedings, I'm not sure this was such a good idea!  Actually, Silas has be a quiet baby so far.  PLEASE CONTINUE TO PRAY!  We prayed for a slow and quiet child so his old parents could keep up.  So far, so good.

Silas has been a pure joy for us.  I know every parent thinks their kid is special, but mine really is! :)

Sorry I posted so few photos today.  The Internet connection at the hospital is very slow.  More later.

Chunky Monkey

I prayed for a large, strong, healthy baby.  Actually, I prayed for a "Chunky Monkey" and Silas has proven to be just that.  So when we found some "Chunky Monkey" ice cream at the store, I knew Silas had to have it!!!

Tina at 32 Weeks / 8 Months

If it wasn't for the ultrasound, I'd think there MUST be two in there.

Monday, November 14, 2011

We had an ultrasound today. Silas is already 2.2 kilos or 4.85 lbs and we still have seven WEEKS to go. Well, I did tell Tina I wanted a chunky monkey and God answered my prayer.

Tina at 28 Weeks / 7 Months

It has been a while since our last blog entry. Not much to report except Silas growing like a weed!

Tina... are you sure you can make it two more months!?!? I thought you hated balloons.
