Scooter 'Coffee Break'

When Silas and I take our scooters out for a ride, I bring a bottle of water and we stop for a 'Coffee Break'

Getting him to smile for a photo is the REAL work!

Mega Blocks Robot

Silas and I continue to make our Saturday morning Mega Blocks masterpieces.

Not quite as tall as Silas, but then again, very few things are as tall as Slias!

We never know exactly how genuine these things are,

but Silas made it very clear he wanted to be forgiven of his sin

and to ask Jesus into his heart to live with Him forever.

Praise the Lord!

However, Silas 'found' it early and we decided to open it now...

Coffee Break

Oddly enough, Silas started asking for a "Coffee Break"

when we would go shopping.

His "Coffee" is a cup of ice cold milk.

But he LOVES it... and we love him!

Questacon

In the capital city of Canberra,

there is a great science museum called Questacon.

It really gives you a lot of hands-on things to play with.

Here we are showing water flowing and the

power it has to move little plastic balls.

However.....
once Silas found a toy construction site....

No more exploration was needed.

"Silas, let's look at something else.  We have been playing at this construction site for over two hours!"

Well, we didn't see much, but Silas had fun.

Volcano

More Science.  I'm just glad it didn't involved real fire and lava.

Dentist

We took Silas to a dentist today, not because he needed his teeth cleaned, but to get him used to the idea of going.

He sat quietly with his mouth open.

Asleep

Silas was in the car playing with his umbrella.

Then, things got a bit too quiet.

Upon further investigation, we discovered he was out cold!

Fixing a Chair

Silas surprises me sometimes when he is able to do things on his own.

Here he is tightening the screws on his chair with a wrench.

Bus Kid

I grew up riding buses, but this was Silas'

first ride since he was just a bub.

Waiting for the bus.

Excited for the ride.

He just looks so darn cute.

but after I dumped out the blocks, he disappeared!

Alphabet Basketball

As part of Silas' preschool work,

Mum has him working on his alphabet. Combining 26 letters with basketball is genius.

Hungry Jacks

Mum doesn't let Silas have much "junk food."

Also, his allergies prevent him from eating most things.

However, today Mum let him try a burger and hot chips (fries)

from Hungry Jacks (Burger King in the USA).

And it will be the last time he has Hungry Jacks.  We had an allergic reaction a few minutes later.  :(

Big Bear at Costco

I like this bear, it makes Silas look small for a change!

Playground Fun

It seems like only yesterday I couldn't let Silas go alone

in a little playground without worrying about him getting hurt.

Now he runs the place.

Home Improvement

Silas and papa like to go to home improvement stores to look around.

Usually this ends up with a trip to the playground.

This particular one is quite extensive.

After the playground, we have a 'coffee' break.

Well, papa has coffee and Silas has a milk. 

While trying to get the perfect photo, Silas often does not cooperate.
