Play Doh

What is this new thing???

It is called Play Doh.

Very odd... Do I eat it?  It doesn't look very good.

Very strange indeed.

Oh.  It's squishy.

That feels funny.

I think I like this stuff.

I definitely like this stuff!

Let me work on my sculpture of a green super hero.

Maracas

So Silas now has Maracas.

Yes Silas... shake shake shake.

This is a great excuse to give you a little tickle!

I guess Silas showed daddy what he thought of that... bash!

Ouch!  Right in the head.

Sorry dad... I forgive you son.

Now don't eat the maracas.

What a silly boy.

Self Feeding

Tina continues to insist Silas should try to feed himself.

He sure enjoys trying.

He thinks it's fun.

But clean-up can be a bit overwhelming.

And I just wonder how much gets in his mouth.

Lucky he is such a cutie!

More Swimming

My apologies for not blogging in a while.
I have lots of photos to show.
Many photos are from his swimming lessons

Somehow Silas found a fish to eat in the pool!

He is so patient waiting for daddy to snap a photo.

What a precious moment.

Sometimes Silas gets distracted.

Other times he seems to just want to get out of the pool!

Train Park

There is a miniature train park near us where people who are into hobby trains meet to show off their toys.  Silas doesn't look convinced that this is going to be any fun.  "When do I get to ride Mama?"

These "toys" are small yet functional steam engines. This conductor is adding coal to heat the water for the steam.

People are allowed to ride on the back.

Here you see Silas and Mum ready to go.

Wave to Papa.  How fun!!

Now it's Daddy's turn and Mama gets to take pictures.

Hmmm... maybe dad should get the camera back! :)

"I told you this was going to be lots of fun Munchie."

Picnic

Tina REALLY hates picnics because of the bugs, sunburn, and food being left out too long, but for little Silas, she'll do ANYTHING!
Please excuse him for not smiling for the camera.  He was too busy eating yummy food!

I tried to get a shot of the whole family but my arm just wasn't long enough.

Taronga Zoo

Tina really wanted to take Silas to the Zoo.
Ready to see at all the animals?  Silas, where are you looking?

Momma, aeroplane!
(Note, we are not the only ones with this issue.  The other child in the pram is also staring at the seaplanes!)

Silas wanted to ride a giraffe.  Fortunately there was a statue of one close by.

The real giraffe was not impressed.

The gorilla exhibit was exceptionally suitable for the vertically challenged.

Having fun little guy?

Tina was trying to sign ELEPHANT for Silas, but yet again he was fascinated with the seaplanes overhead.

Oh yes.. there's another one.

Well, Silas and daddy were tired and ready to go home.
Next time we'll save our money and watch aeroplanes from our porch.  :)

Australia Day (A Bit Late)

Okay Australia Day was awhile back and I'm just getting around to posting the photos.
"Aussie, Aussie, Aussie, Oi, Oi, Oi!"

Silas is wearing his "Trust Me, I'm an Aussie" T-Shirt.

I think Mum loves her little Aussie!
