Silas enjoyed AWANA this year.

At the end of the term, they are given an award for completion.

Silas is quite proud.

And so is Mum and Dad.

Canberra

Oma, Tina and Silas went to the Australian capital city of Canberra.

They found a nice royal chair to sit in and pretend to be very very important!

Nice wig!

Yes.  They are very important people!!!

Ferris Wheel

This is a fairly long (4 minute) video showing Silas on his first Ferris Wheel.  It is quite funny how he seems to have a complex conversation with the kid he is riding with.

Daddy's Shoes

This makes me want to be careful where I walk, because someone may be walking in my shoes.

Christmas Icecream

There are very few places Silas can have ice cream, due to his peanut allergies.

This was a special treat.

Bubble Bath

I left the bathroom for 1 minute only to return to this!

uCozy

While walking through the shops, they had a display for "uCozy"

I have no idea what this thing is supposed to do for you, but Silas enjoyed giving it a try.

Fete (Fair)

We had a chance to spend some time at a local fete.

There are slides

No fear.  This was a really high slide.

They had the local fire department.

And a bungee-cord (ocky strap) trampoline.

It wasn't difficult to get him to smile.

Big Christmas Tree

After putting up the big Christmas tree, we tried to get Silas to pose in front if it in his new hat...

We had limited success.

Pumpkin Carving

Having fun carving a pumpkin with Silas.

The pumpkin is smiling more than Silas.

Time to light the candle.

Done.

Silas' Christmas Tree

Silas wanted his own Christmas tree this year.

It is the perfect size for him.

True Fruit

Mum was able to find some fruit bars that are pretty healthy.

I think Silas likes them.

Where is Silas

I went to build mega blocks with Silas, but I couldn't find him!

Once I did, we built this masterpiece.

Swimming Lessons

Silas started swimming lessons again.

At first he was very timid.

But once he got going, he had a lot of fun.

Here he is getting used to his goggles.

Soon he forgets he even has them on.

Swimming with goggles is fun.

Shaving Cream

What a great mum to allow Silas to get really really messy!!!

I was surprised to find Silas and Tina reading a book after breakfast....

Under the kitchen table!

I guess education has no limits.

Scooter 'Coffee Break'

When Silas and I take our scooters out for a ride, I bring a bottle of water and we stop for a 'Coffee Break'

Getting him to smile for a photo is the REAL work!

Mega Blocks Robot

Silas and I continue to make our Saturday morning Mega Blocks masterpieces.

Not quite as tall as Silas, but then again, very few things are as tall as Slias!
